Today's your Independence Day!?!?

Yo Chimps,
Today I'm going to enlighten you monkeys on something that is... I think... Not talked about at all... Ever.
But it's such golden and ancient wisdom that I felt the need to talk about it.
What is this topic?
OUTCOME INDEPENDENCE.
What does that mean mr Gilgamesh you say.
In simple terms...
That you stop giving a fuck about the outcome of your work.
The idea is to put the work into whatever that you want to do but detach yourself from the outcome of the work you put in.
As Bhagavad Gita said (You know it's the real deal when you need to whip out ancient text, the wisdom is real)
"You have the right to work, not to the fruits of your labour"
Why is this so important?
Because so many times we diminish our genius because we are too preoccupied by the thought of the reward.
It is literally all that consumes us sometimes.
Instead if you put in the work because you are diligent, because that is who you are. This is when miracles start to happen.
You make art because you are an artist... Not because you want people to call you creative.
You play sports because you are an athlete... Not because other people will think you're cool.
You read dangerous books because you're a devout learner... Not because people will consider you smarter and more educated.
External validation is cool and all for a period of time. It is not reliable.
Internal validation is less sweet but stays firm like a rock. It becomes your core.
Because of this you start making identity based decisions.
You train hard everyday because you think of your self as a champion.
Doing work for the sake of work... because that's who you are. This is a much more powerful frame to have for yourself.
With this, you are merely acting in accordance to your perceived image of yourself... Which, if done over a long period of time becomes your identity.
(Identity based decision is something I'll get into next time)
But also because it is neither predictable to figure out if your work will be rewarded or fair to yourself if you put that much pressure on yourself that you start living in fear of being a failure.
Let me put this into perspective for you...
Who is the best football player ever?
Leo Messi.
How many world cups did he win?
1
How many world cups did he play?
5
He won his last world cup.
Does that mean that the other world cups that he played were a waste?
Fuck no.
That's just how it is. You never lose. You either win or you learn.
Had he gotten demoralised because of the fact that he didn't win 4 consecutive world cups in a row, he wouldn't have won the last won.
When you play for reward, you lose motivation and then you give up.
But he simply kept going because he is a footballer and he will play for as long as he can.
Couple that with his perceived identity as the champion and no wonder he's the best
How many songs do your favourite artists make?
And how many of those songs become hits?
Probably 10%
Were the other songs a waste then?
Again, FUCK NO!
So Folks...
Strive towards greatness because that's who you are.
Word hard everyday because that's who you are.
Don't worry about the outcome.
Remember... It is better to walk your own path imperfectly than someone else's path perfectly (Whipping out another quote from Bhagavad Gita btw, I'm on fire)
Just let go of your attachment to your work.
Anyways,
That's it.
Bye.
P.S. I know I said to not care about the reward but if you do get rewarded I don't you want to say:
"Oh Mr Gilgamesh said to not care about rewards so I won't accept any"
When you get rewarded, just accept the dam reward motherfucker
