This STORY Will Give You Energy.

Yo,
Today I'll share a bit of a personal story with you guys from yesterday.
Now why am I doing that?
Everything will make sense in a bit so keep reading.
Yesterday I woke up feeling really tired. Sore from the day before because I did legs and abs at the gym.
And it didn't help that the day was really packed with a lot of activities that I had to do.
By the time I finished all the chores that I had to do it was evening.
But the fact that it was evening was a positive for me since evening time is when I socialise and go the gym.
"A bit of exercise and casual yapping never hurt anyone" is what I live by.
So anyway, this story is about the 2 people that I had an interesting conversation with.
Person number 1, which I'll name johnny (I obviously can't reveal their names ;) )
So I entered the gym and I saw johnny sitting over at the chest press machine.
Like the annoying pest I am, I went to johnny and struck up a conversation, although only for 2 minutes.
Why only 2 minutes?
The reason will become apparent later on.
In my conversations with johnny, all johnny ever talks about is himself and how miserable he is in life.
No matter how much I try to change the mood, he'll find a way to make it about himself.
Johnny believes that for some reason if he can display how much he's suffering in life, he gets brownie points.
That by complaining and whining all the time, everyone else will see how much of a victim he is and that they'll sympathise with him.
Finally he will get the attention that he never got as a kid.
But this only makes johnny more repulsive because what he thinks will hold people's attention only turns them away.
And when they go away he can finally say...
Ohh look, I was right. No one likes me.
An ironic self fulfilling prophecy.
After 2 minutes, I was yawning and excused myself.
It had been 30 minutes into the workout and in walked the person number 2 which we will call Gilgamesh.
Now, from the moment he entered the gym he was smiling, radiating a childlike joy.
Constantly curious and fascinated by every little thing around him.
Completely captivated by people, he starts talking to people.
Gilgamesh genuinely loves talking to people. He loves hearing about their stories.
He has a vicious eye for detail and his sense of humour strikes a laughter in even the most uptight prudes.
Gilgamesh is so comfortable in his own skin he makes the other person relaxed just by them mirroring him.
From the moment I start talking to Gilgamesh I'm having the time of my life.
It was as if time itself had stopped during our conversation. I was having so much fun.
In contrast to my prior conversation this was a relief.
Why was this the case?
Well, It is only obvious that a man that loves people will be loved by people.
It is no wonder that Gilgamesh is always surrounded by people and johnny isn't.
Why would anyone want to talk to johnny, someone that hates himself and because of that, he also hates life.
Gilgamesh loves himself and because of that he not only loves other people but also life.
If you were to choose, who do you think you would want to be friends with?
The answer is obvious.
The point that I'm trying to make from this story is that...
In life, there are 2 types of people...
Energy givers and Energy suckers.
Johnny was obviously an energy sucker and Gilgamesh an energy giver.
You should, generally speaking, surround yourself with energy givers.
We all have had experiences in life with people that you could categorise as energy suckers.
Even looking at them sucks the life out of you.
In all honesty, why would you even want to be involved with such a person.
Not only do they not enjoy life, they won't let you enjoy life either.
They hate it if everyone else is having fun in life because they want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.
They will suck the joy, the motivation, even the will to live out of you.
So be careful of who you surround yourself with.
Surround yourself with the demoralised and you will lose the will to live.
Surround yourself with the passionate and you will develop a passion for life.
Remember, we are all open to influence from other people. We are all social animals. Don't think of yourself as someone that is immune to it.
So it is vital that you choose to be surrounded with energy givers rather than energy suckers.
Also, you should aim to be an energy giver yourself and you will be automatically surrounded by other energy givers and in reality, most energy givers surround themselves with other energy givers.
I mean think about it. If you were only surrounded by energy suckers you would have no energy to give.
So in short, if you get anything from this blog post, it's this-
Be an energy giver and surround yourself with energy givers.
Opposite of this is also true.
Alright that's it, bye.
