Okay, I pulled that number out of my ass. But what I didn't pull out of my ass is the Harvard health article on gratitude as a way to be happier.

Giving thanks can make you happier - Harvard Health

You don't have to do much before you can find studies on gratitude on the internet, just search it on Google and you'll see for yourself.

So what even is gratitude?

Gratitude is the act of recognizing and acknowledging the good things that happen, resulting in a state of appreciation.

People existing in the bleakest of alleys and the tiniest of villages somewhere in the world are happier than a successful and well-put modern human being. That is because they practise gratitude. The joining of hands in a prayer-like position is just that.

This is not forbidden knowledge. But often what is obvious is ignored exactly for that reason, that it is obvious.

After all, Common sense isn't so common.

People that are complaining and whining about every single det ail of their life can never really be happy because they are too busy being bitter. They can never be grateful because they are too busy being resentful.

For them the philosophy is simple.

Why be happy about what you have when you can be sad about what you don't have?

So I assume that if you are reading this, you actually care about being happier. And you are who I'm trying to speak to.

You see, the true purpose of gratitude is to negate the resentment.

Now, you can't directly chase happiness since it's somewhat of a byproduct. But you can do the things of which happiness is a byproduct and gratitude is one of the things that can make you much happier, literally!

So here are the 3 simple things you can do to be more grateful:

Gratitude Journaling. Seriously just do it! So many people do it for a reason and that's because it works. Start small for all I care and write down just 1 thing that you're grateful for every day.

Meditate. I know the face you're making, it's not that hard! You don't have to do it for 30 mins or an hour. Just do it for 2 - 5 mins, that will work as well.

Thank People. This is so simple that if you don't do it I'll come out of your screen to choke you! Thank people when they do something good for you. It makes both the parties feel better. But be genuine, otherwise, you're just a sleazy fucker.

BONUS: Smile whenever you can :)

That is it for today folks!

Look after yourselves and the people around you.

See ya!
