Chaos is God tickling you in the Butt.

In this weeks edition I'm going to talk about developing a sense of comfort...

Now what kind of comfort I'm talking about?

We'll get to that in a second, but first I have to talk about why there's a need for it.

Too many of us are often taken aback by the chaos of life. Weird and terrible things happen and you're way too unqualified to deal with it.

And if the outside world was not chaotic enough, you possess inner chaos that does not let you even take a shit in peace.

You find yourself defeated on the ground raising your frailing hands in the sky praying for an easy life. Speaking words of loserdom like "Why me".

So what do you do about it?

And the truth is...

You need to become comfortable with the chaos of life. It's a start but it's not the complete truth.

Whether it's external or internal, chaos is a part of life and if chaos is something that just always will be there then why not adopt a frame of mind that's beneficial for you.

Why not think in a way that's to your advantage.

To explain it in simple terms, hold the frame of - I turn every thing, circumstance, disaster, word into my advantage.

It's like aikido, you turn opponents forceful attack against him.

💡
If you've been reading this journal for a long time then you know I talk a lot about frames. Frames of mind can be very useful to hold and maintain.

When dealt with a gust of wind it's important to ground yourself and be comfortable with the wind blowing at your face.

For some reason, people have this preconceived notion that you need to be comfortable all the time. Life is supposed to be with as little discomfort as possible.

This little notion is very problematic as it only creates a fantasy and incompletion of that fantasy leads to misery.

Worrying about avoiding every little discomfort is in itself very stressful and stress as you know is uncomfortable.

You need to fight the human need to be comfortable all the time and just let go.

If there is comfort, enjoy it. If there is discomfort, deal with it. It's that simple.

Another area of life people need comfort in is taking action.

Again, for some reason people have this preconceived notion that you need to be certain of the outcome, you need to be prepared or that you need to know everything before you take a step forward so that you don't have to deal with discomfort.

This notion is ridiculous.

Who told you that you had to be prepared before you take a step forward?

That you had to be ready before you do anything?

That you had to know everything before you think you're prepared enough to move?

And if things blow up in your face, you fear that you will look like an idiot. Others around you will laugh at you.

The more you think about this the more timid and shy you become.

Unable to say what you really want and do what you really desire you become resentful.

You start envying the idiots that are bold and fearless.

That envy is just a reflection of you wanting to be like that person, only if you had the courage to.

Know this...

Taking an action or taking a step forward knowing fully well that you have no certainty of outcome is in itself a kind of confidence that cannot be faked.

It is to accept the uncertainty of life and taking a step forward without caring about the fact that it could blow up in your face.

Most people don't operate like that.

It's a trait that we admire and envy in others.

So why not adopt it for ourselves.

Playing the shy and timid person when you want to get what you want never helped anyone.

So why not play the role of the fearless.

If you yourself have no qualms with trouble then why would trouble trouble you.

Chaos is God tickling you in the butt, you can either be annoyed by it or enjoy it.

Alright, That's it for this week.

Bye.
